We need your input for the 2024-2025 School Year Calendar

Each year the Sudbury Catholic District School Board in collaboration with our three co-terminus boards seeks the input of our school board community in establishing the school year calendar for the upcoming school year. Working with our co-terminus boards allows us to better coordinate student transportation and ensures that Board specific requirements are met.

Please provide input on the two proposed options by completing the 2024-2025 School Year Calendar survey. The survey closes Friday, January 26, 2024.

Important Dates

  • First day of school for students is Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
  • Second semester for secondary students begins on Friday, February 3, 2023.
  • Last day of school for students is Friday, June 30, 2023.

EQAO Dates

Fall 2023
Wednesday, November 1, 2023, to Thursday, November 30, 2023, with Individual Student Results reported on or by the end of January 2024.

Spring 2024
Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to Wednesday, April 24, 2024, with Individual Student Results reported on or by the end of May 2024.

Semester 1
Wednesday, January 10, 2024, to Friday, February 2, 2024, with Individual Student Results reported after each student has completed the assessment.

Semester 2
Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to Wednesday, June 26, 2024, with Individual Student Results reported after each student has completed the assessment.

Wednesday, May 8, 2024, to Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with Individual Student Results reported by the end of September 2024.
