Catholic Education Week: Igniting Hope

Each year, we proudly celebrate Catholic Education Week alongside the Province of Ontario. This year’s celebration is titled, “Catholic Education: Igniting Hope” and will be celebrated during the week of May 3 – May 8.

This year’s theme, Catholic Education Week: Igniting Hope, is timely as the pandemic calls us to adjust to new routines. Please stay tuned to our social media pages as we share virtual activities, messages of hope and student work throughout the week.

We are all invited to celebrate a Catholic Education Week Mass scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. His Eminence, Thomas Cardinal Collins will be celebrating. You are invited to participate “virtually” in this celebration of the Eucharist by clicking on the following link at the scheduled time:  https://www.stmichaelscathedral.com/live.

Regals Celebrate Earth Day with Virtual Cafe

Marymount staff & students gathered online to celebrate Earth Day with their MMA Earth Day virtual Café!

They played games, watched videos, prayed, and shared with one another poems, art, photographs, and other ways that we are celebrating Earth Day – apart, but together!

A great way to build community and share their love for our beautiful Earth!

St. Francis School Wraps Up Christmas Canned Food Drive!

St. Francis Flames and families demonstrated their Christmas spirit this season by donating 3 500 canned food items and a cash donation to the Edgar Burton Food Drive. Teachers, Mme Dupuis (Gr.5/6 F.I.) and Ms. Visentin (S.E.R.T.) kicked off the food drive in early December with a themed collection for each week of the month such as baby food, canned and packaged food items. Families made donations on their way into the school’s Christmas concert on December 17 topping up a final total. Student helpers were excited when the army arrived to collect the wonderful donations for our community. A big thank you to students, families and staff for all of your donations!
