What do I need to know if I am applying for a teaching position?

If you are applying to the Sudbury Catholic District School Board for the first time you need to ensure that the Board has the following on file:

  • Ontario College of Teacher’s Membership Certificate
  • Ontario College of Teacher’s Qualification Record Card
  • Practice Teaching Record / Performance Appraisals
  • QECO (certificate / letter)
  • University Transcripts
  • Faith Reference Portfolio
  • Pastoral Reference
  • Criminal Reference Check

Teacher Application Package

If you are not currently employed with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board but have previously forwarded the above documentation, please note that material is kept on file for 1 year only. Please resubmit the supporting documents if necessary. In addition, both current and prospective teachers need to complete the appropriate application form and submit it by the deadline listed in the posting. Please include written authorization to check references.

What do I need to know if I am applying for any other position?

If you are applying for a position other than teaching, please ensure your application package includes:

Complete Curriculum Vitae
Verification of Qualifications
Personal and Professional References
Name and Address of Last Employer

How can I get the forms I need to complete my application?

If you are applying for a position, you may be required to fill out additional forms for that particular posting. You can access the necessary forms from the Employment Opportunities main page. If you prefer, you can contact the Board to make arrangements to obtain original forms for your application package.

What do I need to know about the Freedom of Information Act to complete my application?

In accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, you need to provide written authorization to contact references. Please include a written authorization with your application package.

How can I submit my application package?
