Sudbury Catholic Schools Host RPIC Ceremony
The Sudbury Catholic District School Board hosted its second annual Regional Parent Involvement Committee (RPIC) commissioning ceremony at St. Francis Catholic School last evening. Father Pat Woods, Pastor at St. Kevin’s Church joined Sudbury Catholic Schools’ trustees, senior administration, principals, teachers, students, parents and board staff in a celebration of prayer, music and song during a special mass devoted to the commissioning of the Board’s Catholic School Councils.
“As school council representatives you are called by God to continue the mission of Jesus to ensure the high quality of Catholic education by bringing the light of Christ into our
schools and communities,” stated Father Pat when addressing the Catholic School Council Chairs.
Clara Steele, Chair of the Regional Parent Involvement Committee took the opportunity to present a webpage from the SCDSB website via the use of a “Smartboard” that was totally devoted to assisting parents and guardians in playing a pro-active role in their child’s educational experience
