Ontario Skills Medalist Recognized by Sudbury Catholic Board

Jordan Lanteigne, a Grade 12 student at St. Charles College was awarded a silver medal for his plumbing talents at the 17th Ontario Skills Competitions held in Kitchener on May 2, 2006. The annual trades competition allows students from across the province the opportunity to compete and to apply their skills in Construction, Design, Manufacturing, Transportation, Communications and Hospitality.

Jordan demonstrated interest in plumbing in his first year of Construction Technology courses at St. Charles College. In Grade 11 Jordan received a coop placement with United Plumbing co-owned by Leight and Angela Faubert. The Faubert’s were very impressed by Jordan’s work ethic and offered him the opportunity to work as a coop student at United Plumbing during his Grade 12 year.

Given his talent for the trade, Jordan was selected by the Sudbury Catholic District School Board to represent St. Charles College at the 2006 Ontario Skills Competition where he received a silver medal for his efforts. He was recently recognized by the Sudbury Catholic District School Board for his dedication to his craft and his excellent achievement.
